About
A live festival held under the theme “Metal Pandemic”, responding to the crisis facing festival culture during COVID-19. Bands from across the country took part, creating an outlet for a shrunken pop-culture scene. Invited musicians performed in person with social distancing, presenting a model for how live shows could be held during the pandemic.
Concept
Rather than shrink back in a withering live scene, MMC went boldly ahead with “Korea Metal Weeks”: holding an in-person festival safely, to break through hard times with metal sound.
