About
Titled “The Summit of Asian Metal Trade Union”, this festival invited leading bands from the heavy metal scenes of Korea, China, Japan and Taiwan. 12 bands took part in the main event (9 Korean, 3 from China, Japan and Taiwan), with an artist networking program, a four-country producers’ forum and musician interviews. Mullae-dong artists and ironworkers built the festival sculpture together (the MMC Globe).
Concept
To become a symbol that protects Mullae-dong amid gentrification, MMC gave up the stubbornness of a small local festival and stepped into a wider world, presenting heavy metal from Korea, China, Taiwan and Japan.
